Garlands (picnic, lightning) ep
Mister Records presents Garlands' freshman Compact Disk release. This
six-song ep conjures the best of 80's Brit-pop, but ultimately succeeds in
becoming something more. The lilting vocal melodies are subtle ear-worms.
The two guitars are like lovers that are at once nothing alike, but
perfectly suited to one another. Throw in the unorthodox, chorded and
strummed bass stylings and these songs add up to far more than the sum of
their parts.

This early Garlands release smacks of ambition and big ideas. Polished,
